How Do I Read My OnPoint Energy Bill?

checklist

OnPoint’s goal is to make electricity easy and clear for you. This guide will help you understand what’s actually on your bill, what you’re being charged for and by whom.

What Are The Benefits Of A Fixed Rate Product?

OnPoint offers you guaranteed rate stability by using fixed rate plans instead of basing your bill on how much energy you use each month. Thanks to this, you can easily budget from month to month and are protected from unexpected market conditions that may cause the price of electricity to spike.

What If I Think My Usage Is Incorrect?

If you believe there was an error in your usage, you can contact us at 833-657-6464 from Monday through Friday between 7 am to 6 pm EST or email us at care@getonpointenergy.com. You may file a complaint with the Public Utility Commission of Texas if you disagree with our decision by calling toll-free 888-782-8477. Individuals with hearing or speech impairments can use a text telephone (TTY) to contact the Commission at 512-936-7136.

  • Competition Transition Charge: A charge assessed to recover a TDU’s charges for non-securitized costs associated with the transition to competition.
  • TDU Delivery Charges: The total amounts assessed by a TDU for the delivery of electricity to a customer over poles and wires and other TDU facilities not including discretionary charges.

What Is An Early Termination Fee?

Thanks to OnPoint’s 30-day satisfaction guarantee, you can change your mind about our service and switch with no consequences in the first X months. However, your electricity is purchased in advance to cover your entire contract. So after the X-day period, you’ll be charged an Early Termination Fee if you abruptly end your contract. However, don’t worry if you’re moving and need to end service or transfer your service to a new address — that doesn’t incur a fee.
